European
tradition tells us that Ladybugs are good luck. The story goes that many
years ago aphids invaded farm crops. The farmers prayed to the Virgin Mary
for help and ladybugs came to eat the aphids. The beetles were named
"Ladybugs" after Mary, "Our Lady".
